Advanced Rhinoplasty

First time or complex revision

Rhinoplasty, or nose job, is one of the most popular aesthetic procedures of all. In addition to cosmetic purposes, breathing and functionality issues may be improved with rhinoplasty. It is widely regarded as a safe, routine operation and is performed under either local or general anaesthesia.

Your new nose should look natural and compliment the rest of the face. Whether you are considering rhinoplasty for the first time, seeking a revision, or a revision of a revision, we have the world-class rhinoplasty specialist for you.

Complex nose surgery and reconstructive candidates are also welcome.

  • A pleasingly proportioned nose boosts confidence.
  • People can be self-conscious about a nose that is large, crooked or misshapen, especially if they have been teased about it. In these cases having a correctly performed rhinoplasty removes a lifelong stigma, which can be very empowering.
  • Other features, especially eyes, can appear more attractive  after rhinoplasty. An elegant nose enhances the rest of the face overall.
  • An unexpected bonus of having a rhinoplasty is that a smaller new nose can be incredibly anti-ageing. Noses continue to grow throughout our lifetimes, therefore larger noses indicate maturity.
  • A nose that has been broken can not only be repaired, but in many cases made to look better than the original.
  • Rhinoplasty can improve functionality, correct a deviated septum and assist breathing by widening the airways.

  • Rhinoplasty is the most often revised procedure normally due to poor communication and uninformed choices.
  • The more times a nose is revised, the more scar tissue is produced so the outcome is less predictable than with a primary rhinoplasty.
  • Noses that have had rhinoplasties may lead to cartilage thinning and skin shrinking over time that could eventually make them appear a little smaller. It is generally better to err on the side of caution size-wise and not go too small.
  • After rhinoplasty it takes at least a year for the nose to completely heal and for all the swellings to resolve.
  • The best results do not look unnatural or “done.”
  • Rhinoplasty surgery requires more skill and experience than most other aesthetic procedures, thus practitioners should be chosen with the utmost care.

My nose was too large and masculine for my face and personality. Others had mentioned this from time to time, especially during my school years, but I was already well aware of it from an early age. My first rhinoplasty was done in the 1980s by a cosmetic surgeon who did a great job on my liposuction, however was not a rhinoplasty specialist. When it healed, I was disappointed that my nose did not look much different. That is how I learned an important lesson that has served me well for over three decades: Do not expect one surgeon to excel at every procedure or let loyalty prevent you from getting the very best results.

My nose was revised in 1991 by another surgeon who was known for his stunning rhinoplasties and I was absolutely thrilled with the result. Then twenty five years later I had small adjustment by a rhinoplasty specialist to deal with some minor scar tissue retraction around the nostrils that had slowly developed over time as a result of having had two rhinoplasties. Today I could not be happier with my nose. It looks natural, flatters my face and helps me look younger than my years. But most importantly it works. I can breathe perfectly and my sense of smell is second to none! In fact I even trained as a perfumer one summer just for my own enlightenment – learning new things keeps us young.
